The landmark Broadway Hollywood outlasts recessions, depressions and registers the cultural shifts of its historic intersection, Hollywood and Vine.
The elaborate 1927 Renaissance/Classical Revival style tower, with its Corinthian columns, pilasters and cornices, and an International/Streamline Moderne style addition, was featured in the Charlie Chaplin film Modern Times.

In 2007, interior designer Kelly Wearstler and Killefer Flammang Architects redesigned the former Broadway department store and Capitol Records satellite office spaces into luxury lofts and condominiums. The residents, coming in from the movie, design and music industries, fill these spaces with their own visions of Hollywood domesticity.
